I remember poor farms for poor citizens. At least they had some care.

How difficult would it be to invest 100 billion and some shelter for these people nationwide and then put another hundred billion in the market as a trust fund to support them instead of sending billions and billions to other nations across the globe

Human Services definitely needs an overhaul, in many areas...they provide too many temporary fixes that don't lead to permanancy...it's a revolving door...some people do choose that lifestyle, but others want to get ahead but can't find a break out of the system, so they give up...

My nephew graduated from the Naval Academy, I was very proud of him. He served on a nuclear submarine and I could never figure out why because he is 6’1”! lol

The homeless camps are sad...with no viable place to go for Americans...those tents aren't cheap,especially when you are down and out...if they can't house these people they should give them someplace to be?!

Just ran across this... I lived in DC 1980-1998 brings back a lot of memories.... used to have a time at Good Guys... once a month my employer would finance our monthly outing there

The local government and the National Park Service worked together to clear out the homeless area. The trash collection trucks were from the D.C. government. I observed some civilian employees from the National Park Service. Penguin Six also mentions the park police, who work for the National Park Service.

😢 I don't pretend to know the answers to our homeless population and the issues they face. But I have to say it's really sad to see the work crews throwing away all of their tents and belongings. I would not be able to do that job. 😒

We held a family reunion at a historic naval base, Fort Wordan, located in the tip of Washington near Port Angelos, on the straights.

Dont be lazy, go vote in person on election day.

White House loves importing people who need work and homes. They should allow camping on the lawn of every senator, congress person who is allowing illegals in. Camping on the Whitehouse lawn. Let them deal with it in their neighborhoods since we all have to deal with it in ours.

They cared so much that they waited for the weather to warm up, before helping them at all.

Homelessness is a social issue. We have many in my community of 100,000. If their caught sleeping in the car ramps, their fined. Drug and alcohol is why they don't go to the shelters. Even in the winter they have to leave the shelter until evening. Working in a Community Garden I coordinated the extra produce to the Community Table where one nutritious meal is served 365 days a year. Very sad situation.

I would hope that they found a place, for these homeless people to go. After destroying what little shelter they had. What is happening to this country. They take care of the illegals better than the American people.
